An appraisal provides a fair and objective valuation of a property in the market. This assessment plays a crucial role when purchasing, selling, refinancing, or managing an estate, providing clarity for all parties involved. What is the real value of my property? An appraisal sets out to answer this question and assign a dollar value to your home.
Property transfers or estate planning processes necessitate appraisals. An appraisal aims to establish a fair selling price, a worth at the time of refinancing, or an impartial price during an estate settlement. An appraisal plays an important role by trying to fairly assign a value to a home based on current and surrounding data, regardless of the situation.
Among the major factors examined during an appraisal are where the property is located, its size, and its current condition. Adjacency to places like schools, parks, or other amenities are a very good factor in evaluating the property. Recent sales of comparable properties also affect value along with
major identifiable traits of your specific property.

Quarry Park is located in New Haven, Connecticut, in Fair Haven Heights. It is a park that is interesting and also quite diverse; its past—however—continues to draw many different individuals interested in anything that involves the natural world. Known as a quarry from the 1700s to the early 1900s, this site's stone excavations shaped numerous buildings in New Haven, thereby linking the park to the city's architectural legacy. The park is bounded on what geologists refer to as the New Haven-Hartford Basin: this is an area formed by prehistoric lava flows and sediment deposits. All the rocks found in the park reflect this history very well, and they contribute significantly to a very unique landscape. This location not only serves as a park but also integrates history, geology, and ecology into its intricate processes. It speaks to the place of the region, the resilience of nature, and all of our attempts to save it.
On the fast west side of this neighborhood, you’ll find the Grand Avenue Swing Bridge which takes vehicles over the river and connects Fair Haven Heights to Fair Haven on the opposite side of the river. On the far east side of the Heights, you’ll find an 18 hole public course called Alling Memorial Golf Club. These greens and fairways are currently used by five different high schools in the area and have also been the site of numerous USGA and Connecticut PGA tournaments. This course allows players to walk or use a cart and even claims to offer lessons by a past PGA professional, Larry Thornhill.
Fair Haven Heights combines all-natural beauty, historical significance, and the bustle of community life, making it unique and welcoming to both residents and visitors.
